Meet the Medical Director Joseph T. Hayes, M.D., M.P.H., M.S., L.Ac. Dr. Hayes is the Medical Director of the Hayes Pain Management Center and the Alternative Medicine Center for Women in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He is a licensed, residency trained and board certified physician with 25 years experience in pain management. He trained in acupuncture at the Helm's Institute at U.C.L.A. Medical School and is a fully licensed acupuncturist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He also holds a Master's of Public Health from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Hayes is compassionate and understanding of his patients. As a public health physician, he knows that chronic pain is the number one reason why patients see doctors. He also recognizes that surgery and invasive procedures often fail to reduce chronic pain. Dr. Hayes uses unique, safe, painless, and highly effective methods of reducing or eliminating pain. He achieves results even after a patient has seen several physicians. He will see you as a first time consultation or work in concert with your personal physician. Diplomate of the American Board of Preventative Medicine, Board Certified in Occupational Medicine, Fellow American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians, Fellow American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Certified American Board of Independent Medical Examiners, member of the American College of Pain Management and the American Academy of Medical Acupunture. Dr. Hayes is licensed for both the practice of medicine and acupuncture in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
