Profile:
Victoria L. lbric, M.D., Ph.D. graduated from Medical School in Bucharest, Romania in 1974. She practiced Medicine in the field of Oncology, and was involved in cancer research, therapy/prevention, and neurology for more than 20 years. She worked at the Virology Institute in Bucharest, Romania, at USC /Cancer Research Laboratory, and at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Her work in cancer research involved investigation into the prevention of cancer by use of Vitamin C and other antioxidants and the origins of cancer induced by viruses or chemical agents. This work produced several scientific papers and book chapters. She has a long history of teaching students in various subjects related to the medical profession such as EMT, cardiac technicians, medical assistants and biofeedback and Neurofeedback. She has also worked closely with groups of high school students in preparing science fair projects and has served as a judge for high school science fairs for the last five years in Los Angeles county. Dr. lbric was trained in General Biofeedback, at the Biofeedback Institute of Los Angeles, and in EEG biofeedback, at EEG Spectrum, Inc. Presently, she has a full time, thriving private practice in Pasadena at the Therapy & Prevention Center, and is often a consultant for the UCLA Pain Medicine Center, Kaiser Permanente, Friendly Hills, Pain Management Services of Northridge, and other clinics. Dr. lbric provides Neurofeedback/ Biofeedback for treatment of a variety of disorders such as chronic pain of different origins, certain symptomatologies caused by brain injuries, Attention Deficit Disorder, High Blood Pressure, PMS and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, etc. The benefits of Neurofeedback/ Biofeedback are numerous. This field is ground breaking in successfully healing and alleviating stress related disorders such as anxiety/panic attacks, hypertension, insomnia, gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes and breathing disorders. Neurofeedback/ Biofeedback is also helpful with chronic pain such as, migraine headaches, neck/ lower back pain, and as neuromuscular re-education, post closed head injury, spinal cord injury, or stroke, urinary or fecal incontinence, as well as in depression, eating disorders, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance abuse. The benefits of Neurofeedback training in increased Peak Performance has been well documented. Over the last 5 years, Dr. lbric presented some of the results of the Neurofeedback therapies at National and International meetings, and many have been published. Dr. Ibric also offers internship training in the use of Neurocybernetics, Biocomp and ROSHI(AVS) to therapists interested in using Neurofeedback/ Biofeedback in their practice.
